6:30pm - 7:30pm Visualising Data for Mobile Business Intelligence (Jen Stirrup)
Microsoft has made serious commitments to mobile Business Intelligence, announced at SQLPass Summit 2011. What is the roadmap? What's available right now, and how can it be implemented at your organisation? Come to this session to learn about issues and benefits for data visualisation in terms of mobilising Business Intelligence using Sharepoint, Reporting Services, SQL Azure, Excel Services and Power Pivot. Yes, it is possible to have mobile Business Intelligence in your organisation, and come to this session in order to learn how!
7:30pm - 8:00pm Break & Pizza
8:00pm – 9:00pm We have control! - Controlling Resources in SQL Server (Chris Testa-O'Neill MVP)
With SQL Server 2008, you can control environments using Policy based management and with the Resource Governor. This session will demonstrate the implementation and workings of Policy based management and with the Resource Governor and provide you compelling reasons why these tools can be used to enforce standards and control SQL Server hardware in your environments.
We'll be putting on food for the event, so please do register so we know numbers. If you then can't make it we'd really appreciate it if you'd unregister and/or let us know.
Wragge & Co's office is at 55 Colmore Row, Birmingham, B3 2AS, just around the corner from the Old Joint Stock pub.
If you need any further details or have any requests for this or future Midlands SSUG events, please let me (Alex Whittles) know, either on Twitter (@PurpleFrogSys or @SQLMidlands) or email SSUG@PurpleFrogSystems.com
