Network, learn, ask a question, meet other folk, get fed - these are all things that happen at user group events. These events are a really great opportunity to socialise in an informal learning experience - if you want your own exposure then come and do a 1 - 5 minute nugget in front of your peers.
Remember to tell your friends and the people you work with; make sure you register as soon as you can.

Denali is the next release of SQL Server. It builds on the three themes of the previous versions:
· Scalability and Availability
· Unstructured data
· Business Intelligence
So I am going to dive into each of these as far as a I can at the moment and give you an idea of what’s coming up in the public beta (CTP3)
Andrew Fryer
I’m a technical evangelist at Microsoft UK. What this means is that I spend my time explaining the future to IT Professionals who do data management and data centre administration. There are just under a million IT Professionals in the UK, and to reach all of these I spend a lot of time on line: On my blog, doing webcasts, and the usual social media channels. However I love going to community events to swap stories and to try and help get the most out of the Microsoft technologies.

StreamInsight is Microsoft’s first foray into the world of Complex Event Processing (CEP) and Event Stream Processing (ESP). In this session I want to show an introduction to this technology. I will show how and why it is useful. I will get us used to some new terminology but best of all I will show just how easy it is to start building your first CEP/ESP application
Allan is the joint owner of Konesans Ltd, a small UK based consultancy specializing in data and process Integration using SSIS, Workflow Foundation, StreamInsight and Sharepoint Server.
