The SQL Server User Group Social organiser Neil Hamby (@neil_hambly, blog) is coordinating a social gathering for SQL professionals, this will follow on from the SQL Server 2008 R2 launch in Shepards Bush and our venue is a short walk - The Bull, Westfield Shopping Centre, London W12 7SL.
Make sure you reserve your place sooner because this session will be popular and it also allows us to gauge numbers so the User Group doesn't waste funds (we are putting some food on for you).
Come and socialise and learn from your peers; come in groups/come alone - we all share a common interest (SQL/SQL Server), that common interest brings us together and gives a language of introduction so don't be shy!
We are putting together some other SQL Server experts to help with the evening - we have Neil Hambly and Trevor Dwyer so far and are looking for more - please do get in touch with Neil (through twitter) or myself through tonyrogerson@torver.net.
6:30 - 7:15 Meet & Greet (buffet food served) - Drinks available @ bar
7:15 - 8:30 SQL Quiz (or another idea - not sure what else we could do - any ideas? It's an evening for us all)
8:30 - 8:45 Results, Prizes, bragging rights (Prizes - got some great swag to give away)
8:45 - 10:00 General Q&A session with "Gold Medal" for best Question/Answer (from group)
Make sure you register!
