Service Broker
Service broker is a technology introduced in SQL 2005 that provides a message based communication from within the database. This allows you to easily design distributed applications and asynchronous programming. The presentation is an introduction to this exciting technology and assumes no previous knowledge of service broker.

Anthony Brown

Anthony has been a sql server DBA since 1998 and have worked with all versions of SQL server since 6.5. For the past 8 years he has worked at John Lewis on their website designing a highly scalable and resilient architecture for it. He has experience in many areas of sql server including service broker, replication and visual studio database projects. He has a blog at www.sqlblogcasts.com/blogs/antxxxx

A new feature of SQL Server 2008 is the SQLPS mini-shell in this session Martin will be showing what you can do with this new scripting environment and why you should start using it!

Martin Bell
Martin Bell has been a freelance computer consultant in the UK for over 23 years. He has worked on many relational database systems and since the 1998 has specialized in SQL Server. He was first awarded Microsoft MVP (SQL Server) status in June 2003. Martin organises the Leeds and Scottish Area SQL Server User Group meetings and is one of the founding members of the SQLBits organising committee.
