Take stock and get the latest news in the SQL Server field. This is also a great opportunity to ask any burning questions you have, may be a problem at work.

Common Table Expressions - What are they? How they work and How to do Recursion

Tony will take us through how Common Table Expressions have been implemented. We will use the Adjaceny List model to demonstrate how recursion works, we will also look at the performance considerations when using CTE's and how to get round it.

SQL Server 2008 fly past for Developers

As much of the new features of SQL Server 2008 that we can cover in the time and before the security guards throw us out.

There are some amazing new features in SQL Server 2008 both in the engine and in the tools. Features like, Table Valued parameters, MERGE statement,  debugger, Intellisense, new data types etc etc.
Bring your list of features you want to know about and we will try and make sure we cover them.
